Science can be defined as the systematic study of structure and behavior of physical and natural world through observation and experiment. Mathematics is defined as the science of calculations. It includes study of numbers, their operations, combinations, generalizations and also structure, measurement and transformations.

A candidate needs to have a bachelor degree in any science stream from a recognised university/college with minimum 55 or 60 per cent marks.
Students with a master’s degree in Science / Mathematics or a four-year bachelor degree with at least 60% marks (aggregate)
Class 10+2 examination from a recognized board
Pass in Class XII from any recognized board
For Bachelor’s degree courses, candidates should have studied Mathematics at a 10+2 level.
For Master’s degree courses, students should have studied Mathematics at the graduate level.
For PhD/Post-doctoral, candidates should have completed a master’s degree in Mathematics.
