A 6 DAY Workshop on school counselling was provided for teachers and school counsellors. The focus of this workshop was on on Academic & behavioral issues in children, the counselling process, remediation and psycho-educational intervention. SPSS has an importance for every students doing Research under Behavioral Science. Students are sometime lacking the correct guidance on SPSS. A workshop was designed for students and professionals to explore different ways of data analysis in SPSS. The workshop covered data entry, data handling on SPSS, Descriptive or Univariate statistics, Correlational statistics, Graphical representation and Non-parametric statistics.

“Read the Signs” Suicide prevention workshops was organized for teachers in New Blossom Public School. This workshop has an intention towards spreading awareness and barriers around suicide prevention. The main objective was to emphasis on the role of professionals in the process of identification and prevention of a suicidal.
A workshop on Study Skills was provided to the 10th standard students of Blossom Public school. The motto behind this workshop was to make them Study smart, not hard. This workshop was funfull with activities and techniques to study smart.

With increasing demand of people who missed SPSS workshop, it was again reorganized for them. Alike the previous workshop, this also recieved praises among participants as it cleared many queries of participants related to the use of SPSS, data analysis and various other types of statistics in SPSS.
This year NEA Life has successfully completed 5 batches on Foundation of counseling course and Career guidance course. This courses are in association with Pramod Mahajan Kaushalya Vikas & Udyojakata Abhiyan and Maharashtra State Skill Development Society. Completion of this course provided participants government certificate on counselling

The Coloured Progressive Matrices (CPM) and Crichton Vocabulary Scale (CVS) are designed to provide brief nonverbal and verbal screening measures of general ability respectively for children aged 4 to 11 years of age. The tests have a long history in the UK and have recently been restandardised for Indian population by Pearson Academy India. NEA Life has contributed to the standardization of the tool by collecting data of Hindi speaking population for developing norms on Hindi version of CPM and CVS

The Millon Index of Personality Styles Revised test (MIPS) provides an evaluation of normal personality. This test offers a tool to help professionals assist normally functioning adults who may be experiencing difficulties in work, family or social relationships. As this is very necessary to teachers in schools, Sinhgad Institute Group of Schools has asked us to take this project NEA Life conducted the assessment, reporting and group counselling for 800 Teaching and Non-teaching staff for the purpose of creating personality profile to the well-functioning of the school environment.

Wide Range Achievement Test (WRAT-5) is a norm-referenced test that measures the basic academic skills of word reading, sentence comprehension, spelling, and math computation. NEA Life being the official franchisee of Pearson Clinical Talent Assessment India has undertaken and completed a project on data collection of Marathi speaking students and Gifted students for the purpose of standardization and norm development of the tool. This project was the great success by interacting with students of different schools around the region of Pune.

Comprehensive assessment on Intelligence, Cognitive, Behavioral and Learning difficulty was provided to accurately identify a student’s patterns of strength and needs at Amanora School, Pune. Based on the report then further remedal intervention services was given keeping in mind their strengths and needs. This project was a great achievement as it covered/benefitted 300+ students and gave positive result with improvement in student’s academic performances.

Being a psychometric expert, NEA Life, Pearson Academy has organized Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children (WISC-IV) India training workshop. The two day workshop covered the administration, scoring, reporting of the tool. It also provided Hands-on training and case presentation to the participants. Completion of the course provided participants Pearson certificate on WISC-IV testing.

Psychological testing has become a part of schools and colleges as a mean of understanding behavioral pattern of students. NEA Life having expertise in Psychometric assessment has administered Personality & Cognitive ability testing to the students of MIT World Peace University at Pune for understanding their personality profile and their cognitive ability as a mean to understand their strengths, weaknesses and their suitableness to the career chosen.

NEA Life took an initiative and launched Igniting Minds which is a series of free sessions aiming to spread knowledge and share expertise on different topics. The first topic under it was Research project. The session was a step by step guidance on how to do a research project. It focused mainly on MA students but others were also welcomed to attend the session.

This session covered APA guidelines for research writing, data analysis reporting, citation guidelines, Do’s and Don’ts of research writing, APA Publication guidelines. Aptitude testing and career guidance is the need of the society. Guidance at the right time is very necessary. Keeping this as the motto STAPI undertook a project on assessing school going students, orphanage and juvenile delinquents to give direction to their career and plan further educational plans. As a part of this project we administered Skills based aptitude testing on 260 students along with reporting and group counselling at various places like Bhartiya Jain Sanghatana, Maher Sanstha, Janseva foundation, Deepgruha society, remand home, and after care home.

Workshops are the means of ongoing development in the professional field. The 2 days’ workshop on projective techniques was organized for college students and professionals. The workshop covered in details about the concept & history of Projection, administration, scoring and interpretation of TAT, CAT and Rorschach Inkblot test.

Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar University, Aurangabad has organized a conference where NEA life has took a session on WISC-IV India training for 100+ professionals and students.

As each and every individual is unique, the whole population of certain areas also become unique. There is always a need to develop norm for the testing as per the uniqueness of the population. One of which Research project NEA Life has undertaken is the Data analysis and Norm development of  Aptitude Test Battery.

As an expert we always wish to spread our expertise among the people in the societies. In association with Pune City Connect Lighthouse project, we are reaching to 3000 students in providing aptitude testing and career guidance. Taking consideration of the population, the aptitude testing is always preceded with the orientation session and followed by group counselling session.

Corporate world is full of people working, learning, developing, coordinating, etc. There always arise a need of providing Psychological services to enhance their ability and perform better. Such a program i.e. Employee Engagement have been undertaken for Halides Chemicals Pvt. Ltd. This project started with a Need based Analysis based on which a Customized Survey was prepared, Assessment and further Consulting is followed up for all the employees, managers and directors.

Developmental Assessment is the first step every parents and schools prefer to be done. This helps in deciding the further academic and behavioral planning of the children. NEA Life under Deepak foundation will be providing assessment on Developmental milestones for children of ages 0 to 6 years to screen developmental delays and plan IEP for the same

My Choice My Future (MCMF) is an interest inventory developed by Pearson. The test is published in English and Hindi but not in Marathi. The translation of the test from English to Marathi is being done by NEA Life.

NEA Life in association with Pramod Mahajan Kaushalya Vikas & Udyojakata Abhiyan and Maharashtra State Skill Development Society is running a 6th batch of Counselling course. The course is now moving ahead to the specialization course in Marriage & Family and Child & Adolescent Counselling.

Course
